Choral & Solo Performance

After his time with each available choir at Gettysburg College, Napoli joined the vibrant professional choral scene of Washington, D.C. During this time, he was a member of the Choir of Christ Church, Georgetown, and subbed for numerous professional & semi-professional choirs throughout the Metro-D.C. area, including St. John’s Lafayette Square & the John-Paul II National Shrine. Napoli has also sung on projects with independent organizations such as the Chamber Dance Project & the DC Singers’ Collective.

Christ Church, Georgetown

The Choir of Christ Church, Georgetown is a fully-professional 13-voice choir directed by Thomas P. Smith. The choir has a rich musical history, comprising some of Washington, D.C.’s finest singers, and is renowned especially for their Anglican chant. The Choir sings at morning services, and for Evensong on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month.

Lux Choir

Lux is a professional chamber choir based in Hyattsville, MD dedicated to excellence in choral performance & education, and to the belief that quality music-making need not sacrifice accessibility, nor care for one another. As Founding Artistic Director, Napoli sang while conducting in their early days, but now only occasionally joins the singers’ ranks when performing unconducted. Today, coming off of their recent ACDA Performance, Lux boasts annual seasons of 4+ concert programs, a robust education program, and a community of passionate, talented, and dedicated professional singers.

DC Singer Collective

Founded in 2022, the DC Singer Collective provides resources & space for connection and performance opportunities for local artists, comprising some of the top musicians in the D.C. area. This includes events recitals, choral consorts, and interactive workshops fusing music & wellness. Robby participated in one such recital, “Our Favorite Things”, programmed collaboratively and featuring a mix of choral, consort, and solo repertoire, all made up of the things we love to sing!

Chamber Dance Project

The Chamber Dance Project is an organization dedicated to heightening audiences’ experiences through the partnership of ballet and live music in intimate spaces. Since its premiere in 2018, CHANT has been a staple show for the company, featuring a small consort of five singers: “Drawing on the majesty and emotional sweep of Gregorian chant, the work… builds into a contemporary overlay of string and voices.” This performance excerpt is from the show’s premiere, before Napoli’s involvement.
